Organisation
The supreme decision-making body of SDC is the
Joint Managerial Committee (JMC). JMC consists of ten high level
representatives equally divided between Denmark and China. JMC
appoints the Chinese Principal Director and the Danish Executive
Director, who are in charge of SDC's daily management. Two
administrative units - one in China and one in Denmark - support
the two directors in their work.
Each of SDC's five research themes is coordinated by a Chinese and
a Danish Principal Coordinator (PC), who are responsible for
developing the research and educational activities. Some research
themes are developed into subthemes each headed by a Principal
investigator (PI).
Within each area a Chinese and a Danish Head of Educational
Programme (HEP) will take care of the overall planning of
educational activities.
A SDC Academic College (SDCAC) will be established in order to
ensure coordination of research and exchange of knowledge between
different research themes. The SDCAC will consist of the two SDC
Directors, the Principal Coordinators and the Heads of Educational
Programmes.
Two advisory boards, the International Scientific Advisory Board
(ISAB) and the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) will advice JMC and
the two directors on matters related to research development and
industry collaborations. To allow for student influence a Student
Forum will be established.
