Campus - House of the Danish Industry Foundation
From 2013, most SDC's activities will take place in the House of the Danish Industry Foundation located on GUCAS' Yanqihu Campus in Huairou District, 60 km northeast of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The Yanqihu Campus is currently under construction.
The House of the Danish Industry Foundation will be app. 8,000 m2 and house auditoriums, reading facilities, class rooms, working facilities for academic personnel, administrative facilities, housing facilities for researchers and common areas.
An area in the building will be allocated to industrial
partners. The space will serve as a showroom and representative
facility for Danish and Chinese companies.
The building will be designed by Lundgaard
& Tranberg Architects and reflect the high standards of
Danish design. The building will be constructed with the greatest
possible emphasis on energy savings, environmentally friendly
solutions and sustainability. The building will be inaugurated in
April 2013.
The building is sponsored by the Danish Industry Foundation
who have allocated up to 80 million DKK for the project.
